What this website and the Schoolex products store in your browser, and why.
This document is a plain-language summary awaiting legal review. Where an institution has a signed agreement with the operator named above, that agreement governs.
This website
schoolex.net sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your light or dark theme preference, in localStorage under the key `theme`, so the site does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit.
If you choose a country from the country control — here or on another Schoolex site — we remember it in a cookie named `country`, set on the schoolex.net domain so the choice carries with you across that suite rather than resetting on the next site you visit. This is a preference cookie, not an analytics or advertising one: we set it only when you make that choice yourself, never from detecting where you are, it holds nothing but the one of three options you picked, and no personal data. It lasts a year, or until you choose again.
Clearing site data removes both, and the site then follows your operating system's setting and our best guess at your region instead.
The products
Once you sign in to a product, a session token is stored so you are not asked to sign in on every page. It is required for the service to function and is removed when you sign out.
Products may also store interface preferences — a chosen language, a sidebar state — in the same way.
Third parties
Payment pages are served by Paystack, Campay or PawaPay and are subject to those providers' own cookie policies for the duration of the payment.
